Freemantles is a Surrey County Council school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. We currently provide for Year R to Year 12 but are still expanding our provision so that in two years time we will extend to Year 14.

"We aim to give each child a wide range of skills and knowledge, as well strategies to manage their autism so that they can maximise their achievement and their enjoyment of life."

Parents feel very positive about the school's support for them and their children's well being. Many parents would endorse the comments that, 'the support...and understanding... have been brilliant' and that, 'We feel like partners in the education process'
(Ofsted 2006)

Freemantles is committed to working closely in partnership with parents and families and holds the ‘Partnership with Parents’ award.

We work with all family members to help them contribute to the development of our pupils. Brothers and sisters have a special art to play and the school organises an annual weekend break for them. Grandparents and friends are welcome to attend any event to which parents are invited, including workshops and support groups.

Parents' evenings are held regularly, combined with social events to help us all to get to know each other. We have an open-door policy at Freemantles and aim to put the needs of parents and families at the top of our agenda whenever appropriate or necessary.
